dc.description.abstract Advertisement is one critical component in most businesses. However, the system that can generate an advertisement in natural sentences has rarely been explored. This thesis involves creating discourses of advertisement in natural language. The study proposes the system along with an example over domain of tourism business. It brings together Ontology, Logic, Argumentation scheme, and Formal Grammar to generate an advertisement for a hotel. The result of the study shows the possibility in the automatic advertisement generation system. The system is in a modular design which mean that components can be changed without a side-e ect to the others component in the system. The main components are: Properties determiner, Discourse Composer, and Sentence Generator. These components receive and generate input and output respectively. The medium between components is a message in the form of rst order formulas. The output of the whole process is a natural, syntactically correct sentence. The result of the study shows the possibility of this kind of system. It can be improved in various ways and can be developed to explore a way to extraction argumentation from natural language. en_US
