The antenna for C-Band UDLR was installed in January 2002.

Before I had any opportunity to take a picture the antenna was assembled.

The antenna type is C-Band mesh, made in Thailand, designed for home usage.

It has been installed on the exact base where was the Ku-Band antenna when we used to go through JCSAT3. Using the same concrete slab, we saved on the construction time and costs. Because of the ligh weight of the antenna, and because it is receive only, no special solution was implemented to assure the stability of the dish.

Proper grounding have been installed for the antenna.

The IF cable is run under yellow PVC electrical pipe. The pipe has been connected to the one used for the Ku-Band antenna.

This pictures shows the location of the pipes that run underground, it is an important archive to locate the pipe in the future.

Then come some more pictures of the satellite antenna field.

Both C-Band and Ku-Band anttennas are located at the back of CSIM building.

On the picture at the right, you can see the Ku-Band antenna, just behind the C-Band antenna.

And this is the C-Band satellite receiver, by Sony, model SNR-PS1000.

Such a small box includes all the signal processing part as well as a UDLR router.

But it has no IPv6 facility, so another box will be needed to do tunnelling over IPv4.

By the way, here are few figures:

Elevation: 54.6°
Azimuth: 114.6°
Downlink frequency: 4.065375 GHz
Local frequency: 5.150 GHz
Symbolrate: 4.7760 M
Coding ratio fec: 3/4
Interval for re-tuning: 30 sec
Tone signal: off
