Hi! this is Borort, a master student from Cambodia who is currently studying at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Bangkok, Thailand. My field of study is Information Management and this is my last semester of my master academic.

I am interested in some research areas such as Knowledge management, Information Retrieval, Semantic Web, Information Architecture, Social Software, and System Usability.

My current thesis topic is Faceted Semantic Tagging. It is mainly focused on the organization of knowledge and information based on the concept and semantic relationship of tags in folksonomy. My advisor is Dr. Paul Janecek.

During the previous semesters, I had been working as the student assistantship for my advisor's project. The project name is Knowledge Management Toolkit (KMTK) which apply the open source tools as knowledge and information sharing mechanism among academic institutions in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS).

I received a Bachelor of MIS (Management Information System) in 2005 from the National University of Managment in Cambodia. Before coming to study in AIT I used to work for the Louis Berger Group, Inc. as a website programmer for a project (Tonlesap Biosphere Reserve-Environmental Database) funded by ADB. And I also used to be a computer instructor for web design and development class at a computer training center in Cambodia. (my resume)
