dc.description.abstract In this research, firstly the climate indicators are defined along with the possible attributes of each indicator. There is a need to visualize the climate data especially in India since it ranks high on lists of the most intimidate regions in terms of worldwide ranking, and many areas of India would be unlivable by 2100, a study predicts. Hence to reduce the risk, adapt the change and to make the people of various fields knowledgeable about the effects of unchecked climate change and weather, there is a need to interactively visualize important and easily understandable data such as temperature, rainfall, drought index, water quality and CO2 emissions data. In this research, existing climate data platforms like NCCV, GE to visualize climate data, EXCEL/ SPSS visualizations, GCCV and visualization evaluation frameworks like Heuristic, Usability, Understandability, Interaction-based and Qualitative techniques are discussed in the literature. Also, technical challenges like Visualizing continuous data and handling missing data techniques are analyzed so that they can be applied if necessary. The data for this research is collected from Open Government Data (OGD) platform of India. Later, user requirements are gathered which helps in understanding the visualization techniques that are appropriate to capture the requirements. The visualization techniques are visualized in dashboard form using DC.js, a java scripting charting library. In the results phase, both the results from visualization and understandability evaluation are discussed in detail. en_US
